With that in mind, we make sure we understand the personalities of all our sport horses for sale, as well as any quirks they might carry, and what makes them tick.

All horses will be sold on a first come, first served basis  - so if one catches your eye, make sure to get in touch and arrange a meeting, sooner rather than later.

If you live too far away to travel, we're very happy to arrange a “meeting” over Zoom or Skype, so you can see your potential new friend in action before you make the decision to buy.

Arrange Delivery

Once you've made the decision on which horse is the right one for you, we can come to an arrangement for the delivery of your horse. If you're able to collect, that's fantastic, but if not, we work with a variety of trusted transporters that can deliver your new horse to you, nationwide, at a reasonable price.

 

 

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS


It is your responsibility to have read the Condition of Sale prior to purchasing.
By purchasing a horse from North East Sport Horses and Ponies LTD you will be bound by our terms and conditions.

1. Upon the Seller's receipt of the Purchase Price (as cleared funds):

a) The ownership of the Horse shall pass from the Seller to the Purchaser.

b) The Seller strongly recommends that the Purchaser adequately insures the Horse (preferably covering third party liability, death, theft, veterinary fees and loss of use) prior to or immediately upon payment.

c) Responsibility for any loss, damage or injury whatsoever caused by the Horse shall pass to the Purchaser.

d) The Seller will release possession of the Horse to the Buyer or his/her employee/agent together with all original documents.

e) The Purchaser (or another person designated by the Purchaser) in coordination with the Seller will arrange for the transportation of the Horse from the Seller's premises (at the Seller's and the Purchaser's convenience), at the Purchaser's expense.

f) Where the Horse is not collected immediately upon ownership of the Horse passing from the Seller to the Purchaser, the Purchaser agrees to indemnify the Seller against all costs incurred in caring for the Horse (veterinary costs etc.) until the horse is collected by the Purchaser or his employee/agent. Any loss, damage or injury howsoever caused by the Horse whilst the Horse is at the Seller's premises awaiting collection by the Purchaser shall be the Purchaser's responsibility.

g) The Purchaser acknowledges that: - The Seller makes no representation as to the past, current or future health, fitness, performance, ability or material defects which the Purchaser acknowledges have been disclosed by the Seller (e.g. splints/unsafe in traffic/weaves/cribs).

h) The Purchaser has inspected the Horse and is satisfied with its health, fitness and ability.

i) The Purchaser acknowledges that the Horse is open to veterinary inspection and we strongly advise that all horses are vetted prior to purchase. All veterinary inspections must place at North East Sport Horses and Ponies LTD. In accepting or declining the opportunity to have the Horse inspected by a vet, the Purchaser waives all rights to bring a claim against the Seller in respect of any matter revealed or which should have been revealed by the vet during that inspection.

j) The Horse is purchased for the purposes of showing/dressage/show jumping/eventing/breeding/hacking/riding club/general riding companion/other.

k) The Purchaser is satisfied that the Horse is suitable for its intended purpose.

l) The Purchaser accepts that horses are unpredictable by nature and that horse riding is a high-risk sport. The Seller is unable to predict how any horse will mature or develop in new ownership. However, the Seller will provide full details of the Horse's routine and current exercise/feed/tack requirements in order that the Horse has the best opportunity of settling into his new home.

m) Holding Fees are non-refundable (non-negotiable) unless the horse purchases has failed a vet check

2. North East Sport Horses and Ponies LTD provide a 14-day ‘cooling-off period' when a purchase has been made online, over the phone or when the purchaser hasn't seen the horse in person

a) The cooling-off period starts the day after the purchaser receive their horse, if for any reason the purchaser is not happy with their purchase a full refund will provided just as long as the horse is returned in the same state as it left North East Sport Horses and Ponies LTD

(ii) Alternatively, at the purchaser's request, North East Sport Horses and Ponies LTD will exchange the Horse for one of equal quality and value.

(b) If the purchaser wishes to buy a horse of greater value for themselves, they can use the original Horse as part payment.

(c) If the purchaser does not like anything in stock, North East Sport Horses and Ponies LTD will endeavour to get a replacement as soon as possible. This may take up to a minimum of 2 weeks.

(d) The purchaser agrees to be patient during this time. Whilst every effort will be made to satisfy the purchaser's requirements quickly, it is not always possible to find the perfect match, in each case.

3. If the purchaser wishes to take the horse back to sell on their behalf, the following charges will apply:

a) livery charged at the current rate.

b) 10% of the sale price.

c) If separate sales advertising is required, the costs will be charged to the Purchaser.

d) If the farrier or the vet is required, the costs will be charged to the Purchaser.

4. The following conditions apply to the exchange warrant:

a) The Horse must be returned in the same condition as it was in when it left the premises.

b) All travel costs will be down to the buyer and the exchange must take place at North East Sport Horses and Ponies LTD.

c) The Horse must not be injured or blemished in any way.

d) It must not be freeze marked or have ID brands on its feet or a replacement microchip inserted.

e) North East Sport Horses and Ponies LTD reserve the right to have a veterinary surgeon inspect the Horse on its return.

In the event of dispute, the matter shall be referred to an independent Equestrian Expert, to be agreed by the Purchaser and Seller.

A SELLING LIVERY IS A HORSE THAT IS NOT THE PROPERTY OF North East Sport Horses and Ponies LTD.

This will be a horse/pony sold on behalf of a client and this will appear on the advert for the horse/pony. The ownership is that of the client, not North East Sport Horses and Ponies LTD. The horse/pony must be insured by the owner. If a horse/pony gets injured and requires veterinary treatment the client must pay. Before purchase we recommend the client has the horse/pony vetted. If, for whatever reason, the horse proves to be unsuitable this will not reside with North East Sport Horses and Ponies LTD, but must be taken up with the previous owner.

However, we do try our utmost to make sure every horse/pony is suitable for their new owner.
